Misc (Roman Chant)

Roman, or Gregorian, chant, the liturgical chant of the Roman Catholic church, has been practiced in various forms since approximately the seventh century. No particular author of the chants has been recorded. Presumably it was the collaborative effort of many people over several centuries.
